How It Works

MPG (miles per gallon) measures how far your car travels on one gallon of fuel. Higher is better. The EPA tests vehicles in controlled lab conditions, so real-world MPG is usually 10-20% lower than the sticker. Aggressive driving, cold weather, short trips, and heavy loads all reduce MPG. Track your MPG over multiple fill-ups for the most accurate reading — single tank readings can vary due to pump shutoff differences.
